When installing:

Spray shaft with lubricant
Materials:
Shaft ................................ Klüber paste 46 MR 401
Fastener, driving variator ...................... Loctite 243

Caution:
Make sure that belt is not trapped between the belt
plates
X
Tightening torque:
Fastener, driving variator
(+LOCTITE 243)........................................... 60 Nm
Cover, variator.............................................. 10 Nm
Ventilation cover............................................. 9 Nm

Checking wheel bearing play

(Inspections I, II and III)

Note:
Check bearing play only when cold.
•
Take the weight off the front/rear wheel
•
Tilt the front/rear wheel to and fro on the axle
•
No play should be detected
•
If play is detected in the wheel bearings, renew
them

Check function and freedom of movement
