LSS-SENSOR.PRG
Introduction
Using LSS-
SENSOR.PRG
1
/. The LSS-SENSOR.PRG option in
Intermec Shell cannot be used for running
the program.
Intermec EasyCoder 601 XP – Service Manual Ed. 3
The LSS-SENSOR.PRG program is included in the Intermec
Fingerprint firmware starting with version 7.12 and is used for
analyzing the values returned from the Label Stop Sensor (see
chapter 8.6) when labels with gaps or tickets with marks are used.
This values are important when you need to discuss an LSS-related
problem with the central support department.
Enter the immediate mode of Intermec Fingerprint, e.g. by selecting
the Fingerprint option in Intermec Shell
program and check that you have a working two-way communica-
tion with the printer. Then, proceed as follows:
• Send these two instruction to the printer:
TESTFEED
RUN "rom:LSS-SENSOR.PRG"
• The printer will start feeding out a number of labels while the
LSS checks for gaps or marks. Then a report of the medium LSS
values at different gain levels is returned to host, for example:

---===================---
• The example above is produced from a printer loaded with labels
(w gaps). Seven different gain levels are tried and the min. and
max. values are reported for each level. The printer will auto-
matically select the gain level that gives the best detection.
• The returned min. and max. values are used by the firmware to
calculate and set the comparator level. Read the comparator and
gain levels by sending the following instruction:
SETUP WRITE "uart1:"
