Base Jamming
Some envelopes are blocked in the transport mechanism of the Base.
Possible causes
Mailpiece is too thick.

Mail size is incorrect.

Envelopes

How to Unblock Mail Jammed in the Base

How to Unblock

the Base
are not properly
To unblock mail jammed in the Base:
1
Pull the release handle
located underneath the
base to lower
transport belts
wheels. Hold the handle.

Using your other hand,
remove the jammed en-
velopes.
3
Release the jam release
handle to
transport belt and wheels back in position.

1 Unblock the Base as indicated
below.

left column:
