1 Installed condition of throttle position
sensor.
2 Connections.
Throttle position sensor coupler

Wire harness ECU coupler

Sub-wire harness coupler

3 Open or short circuit in wire harness
and/or sub-wire harness.
4 Throttle position sensor lead, output
voltage.
5 Defective throttle position sensor.
Symptom Throttle position sensor-open or short circuit detected.

Check for looseness or pinch-

Check that is installed in the

specified position.
Check the coupler for any pins

that may have pulled out.
Check the locking condition of

If there is a malfunction, repair

it and connect it securely.
Repair or replace if there is an

open or short circuit.
