Removing the Modem

CAUTION:
The modem is sensitive to electrostatic discharge, ensure that you are properly earthed before
attempting to remove the board. Handle the modem carefully, holding it by the edges and do not flex
or stress. Keep it in static proof packing while out of the unit.

Remove the Daughter Expansion Board, if applicable (See page
*DA_REMOVE_DAUGHTER_BOARD*)

The modem card is attached to a metal bracket which is secured to the rear of the unit. It is
mounted by 2x M3 above the USB and VGA connectors. Remove both screws using the Pozi-
driv No.2 screwdriver.

In order to remove the modem card you need to gently lift the card and bracket from the
motherboard pin header.

Attached to the modem card is a two-pin cable which connects to a RJ11 socket, using a small
flat bladed screwdriver carefully prise out the plug from the connector.
5.
On the underside of the metal bracket are 3x M2.5 x 8mm screws fixing the modem card to the
bracket. Remove each of the screws to release the modem from the bracket.
