Replacing the Power Supply Unit (PSU)

WARNING:
There is a risk of electrical shock, the power supply unit can deliver an electrical shock even when
mains power is removed from the unit; be certain to observe all standard safety precautions.
TOOLS:
Pozi-driv No.1 and No.2 screwdrivers
PARTS USED:
<P/NBR> 3x M4 6mm
PROCEDURE:
Disassembly

1.
Ensure the mains power cable is not attached.
2.
Remove the cables from the mains inlet filter and connector between PSU and motherboard
3.
The PSU is attached to the chassis with 3x M4 and 1x M3 screws.
4.
Remove the screws and carefully lift out of the unit.

Ensure the mains power cable is not attached.
2.
Move or remove any cables that may obstruct inserting the power supply.
3.
Position the PSU over the chassis pillars with the mains filter live, neutral and earth connectors
pointing towards the rear of the unit.
4.
The screw nearest the mains filter is M3 sized with the spacer and the other three are M4.
5.
Insert and tighten the four screws.
6.
Connect the two cables from the mains filter, the first is a three pin connector with live and
neutral wires and the second connector is the ground.
7.
Connect the motherboard power supply cable in the connector nearest the CDROM. (See page
*DA_MOTHERBOARD_LAYOUT* for motherboard layout)
