Replacing the Fan

WARNING:
IMPORTANT: Risk of Electric Shock. Do not use a screwdriver above the PSU to access the fan,
attempting to do so will result in an electric shock.
TOOLS:
Long shafted Pozi-driv No.1 screwdriver
PARTS USED:
IC00154-01
Cooling fan
MW00058-01
4x M3 Plain Washers
PROCEDURE:
NOTE: The fan only operates when the motherboard temperature sensors require the unit to be
cooled down. A good indicator of whether the fan is working is that it begins to spin when power is
applied to the unit.
Disassembly

Remove the Power Supply before attempting this procedure. See page *DA_REMOVE_PSU*.

The fan is directly powered from the motherboard, the plug is located next to the motherboard
power socket. Remove the three pin plug from the motherboard socket. (See page
*DA_MOTHERBOARD_LAYOUT* for motherboard layout)
3.
Carefully undo the four screws with the shake proof washers.
4.
Remove fan from its position.

The fan is fitted to the front left hand side of the chassis, towards the rear, beside the power
