Replacing the Memory Module

CAUTION:
The memory module is sensitive to electrostatic discharge, ensure that you are properly earthed
before attempting to remove the board. Handle the memory module carefully, holding it by the
edges and do not flex or stress. Keep it in static proof packing while out of the unit.

PROCEDURE:
Disassembly

The memory module is held on to the motherboard by two clips either side, gently push the
clips directly away from the module to release. (See page *DA_MOTHERBOARD_LAYOUT*
for motherboard layout)

Gently lift the module straight out of the socket and immediately place in an ant-static bag.

The memory module is fitted in the slot marked SK1 (See page
*DA_MOTHERBOARD_LAYOUT* for motherboard layout). On each end of the slot is a clip
used to retain the module in its position. The clips will need to be gently pushed back to allow
the insertion of the module.
2.
The module has two grooves on it's connector, the grooves are reflected in the modules
motherboard socket ensuring it is fitted the correct way around.
