Settings for Connecting to the Data Centre

This menu option allows you to modify the IP address when using an
Internet connection via Local Area Network (LAN) to connect to the Pit-
ney Bowes Data Centre. See also Troubleshooting section of Appendix
A - PC Meter Connect™ for more information on Internet settings.
To access LAN settings:
1. Press Options.
2. Press Page Down twice.
3. Select Connect-Data Centre.
4. Select LAN Settings. The Local Area Network screen displays.

A. Get IP - you can select whether you want the machine to
automatically select an Internet Protocol (IP) address to con-
nect to the Internet (Auto) or if you want to manually enter an
IP address to connect to the Internet (Manual).
If set to Auto, values for IP, Sub, and Gwy are set to 0.0.0.0.
If set to Manual, you are prompted to enter IP, subnet, and
gateway addresses (see below). Follow the screen directions.
B. IP - IP address being used if IP address was manually entered.
C. Sub - the subnet address used for the IP address if IP ad-
dress was manually entered
D. Gwy - the gateway address used for the IP address if IP ad-
dress was manually entered
E. MAC - the specific address (ID) of the machiine LAN card (this
can't be changed)
5. After you accept your choices, you return the LAN menu. Press
Clear (back arrow key) to return to Options menu.
