Powering Up and Accessing the Home Screen
When you power up your system, the screen that shows on your
machine is based on its configuration or settings (see below). If your
sys tem has been set up to require a lock code or password, you are
prompted to enter it.

*Please be aware of the following:
You need to be at a Home screen to start the rating process and
apply postage.
If you have enabled the accounting feature, "ACCT: xxxxx" is dis-
played above "CLASS" or "Select a class" on the Home screen.
If you have a scale, the normal preset can be configured. For
systems without a scale, the normal preset can not be changed
from the factory setting of "Seal Only" mode (but you can still set
up custom presets if you wish). See Chapter 5, Normal and Cus-
tom Presets for more information.
