IGNITION COIL
REMOVAL
Remove the side covers and seat.
Make sure the fuel tank is less than half-full. Drain
it, if it is more then half-full. Remove the tank
mounting bolts and lift the fuel tank up and hold it
in place with the tank support rod.
Disconnect the ignition wire leads.
Remove the coils by removing the attaching bolts.
CONTINUITY TEST
Measure the primary coil resistance.
RESISTANCE: 2.8 ohms
Measure the secondary coil resistance with the
spark plug caps in place.
RESISTANCE: 21-28 k ohms
