ACCESSORY SWITCH BEZEL
REMOVAL
NOTE: The accessory switches are serviced sepa-
rately, but the cigar lighter/power outlet is not (Fig.
1).
(1) Open hood.
(2) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative
cable (Fig. 2).
(3) Remove the instrument panel center bezel.
Refer to Removal and Installation, Instrument Panel
Center Bezel in this section.
(4) Remove two screws retaining the accessory
switch bezel (Fig. 3).
(5) Disconnect the harness connectors to the fol-
lowing (Fig. 4):
• Rear Window Defogger Switch (if equipped)
• Traction Control Switch (if equipped)
• Cigar Lighter/Power Outlet
• Rear Windshield Washer/Wiper Switch
(6) To remove switches from bezel, use both
thumbs and slightly pull out on the two walls that
are holding the switches (Fig. 5).
INSTALLATION
NOTE: The accessory switches are serviced sepa-
rately, but the cigar lighter/power outlet is not.

If replacing the accessory switch bezel, you must
(1) Reconnect accessory switch bezel connectors
(2) Reinstall switch bezel into instrument panel
(3) Reinstall instrument panel center bezel. Refer
(4) Reconnect the battery negative cable (Fig. 2).
(5) Close the hood.
(6) Verify vehicle and system operation.
(1) Open hood.
(2) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative
(3) Remove the instrument panel top cover. (Refer
(4) Remove the steering column cover. (Refer to 23
(5) Remove the left instrument panel end cap.
