The freezer evaporator defrosting system

Th e timer control shaft is designed for
scr ewdr iver adjustm ent . When m anuall y
se tting t he timer t o init iat e defrost ing, turn
th e control shaf t clockw ise until y ou
e stablish t he appr oximat e location of the
d e fr ost cycle. T hen tur n the shaft slow l y
a n d s t o p i m m e d i a t e l y w h e n t h e f i r s t c l i c k
i s h e a r d .

co mpressor and fr eezer f an circuit for
a p pr oximat ely 23 minutes. A t t he same
tim e, it energizes t he r adiant heat er. Onc e
th e temper ature of t he def rost ter mination
th e r mostat reaches the cut -out point
( + 4 0 ' F ) , t h e t e r m i n a t i o n t h e r m o s t a t w i l l
o p en t he cir cuit to t he radiant heater .
How ever , the com pressor cir cuit r emains
o p en f or the dur at ion of the 23 m inut es .
