Rem ove the tape and butyl ( rubber)
sealer f rom bot h ends of the sponge
roll that enclosed m uch of t he heat
exchanger . Then slide t he sponge rol l
t owar d the compr essor end of t he heat
exchanger to prevent over heati ng it
d u r i n g s o l d e r i n g o p e r a t i o n s .
Cut the heat exchanger suct ion line
and t he capillary t ube fr om t he fr eezer
coil and clean the tw o ends,
16, Connect t he heat exchanger to t he new
t reezer coil and solder the joints. U s e
S i l f o s o r s i l v e r s o l d e r a n d t h e p r o p e r
f l u x . F l u x m u s t b e w i p e d o f f t h e t u b i n g
af ter soldering.
1 7. Slide the sponge r oll back to i ts
original posit ion and reseal with buty l
sealer and t ape at bot h ends,
1 8 . C a r e f u l l y p u s h t h e h e a t e x c h a n g e r
t u b i n g t h r o u g h t h e t u b e e n t r y h o l e a t
the rear of t he lreezer liner .
