Install a new r eplacement dr ier .
12. Connect charging hose to bottom of
charging cylinder . At tach hand valv e
to loose end of charging hose,
13. P ur ge char ging hose wit h r efr iger ant
and close hand valve.
14. Attach hand valve to access valve.
C harge in 4 oz. of r efr igerant for leak
check. Close hand valve. Wai t ap-
proxim ately 5 m inut es f or pres s ure to
equalize. (Leak check low side.)
R un com pressor for 3 m inutes to
sweep syst em. ( Leak check high
s i d e . )
Close bot tom valve on charging c yli n-
der, slowly r elease r efr igerant con-
tained in charging hose by loos ening
hose coupler at char ging cylinder . Af-
ter r efr igerant is released, disc onnect
hose at char ging cylinder valve.
CAUTION: keep refrigerant away from
fingers to prevent physical damage.
Connect purge hose to loose end of
charging hose, slow ly open hand
valve and run compr essor for addi-
t i o n a l 5 m i n u t e s w h i l e d i s c h a r g i n g 4
oz. sweep char ge.
Remove hand valve, install valv e c ore
bef ore t urning compr essor of f.
