INSTALLING WATER VALVE
AND CONNECTING TUBING
Working from the rear:
1. For the 22 and 24 cubic foot models,
remove the center screw from the right
end of the black fiber panel that covers
th e m a ch i n e co mp ar tme n t with a n
adjustable wrench, and fold back the
etch marked flap. Save the screw for
l a t e r r e i n s t al l ati o n a s th i s f la p is
required for proper and safe operation
of the refrigerator.
2. Fo r t he 2 0 c ub i c fo ot mo d e l, fo llow
above sequence for the left side of the
f i b e r p a n e l .

VALVE HERE
Locate water valve power plug and
w a t e r
l i n e
i n s i d e
m a c h i n e
compartment. Remove protective cap
fr om water line and discard. Sli p the
plastic nut on w ater line.
F it t he plastic t ubing into t he w ater
valve as far as it w ill go and t ighten the
compression nut , finger t ight. T hen
with a wrench, tighten the nut 314" ot
a t u r n .
Connect the water valve power plug to
t he w ater valve. Eit her wire can go on
eit her t erminal.
Attach the water valve to the inside leg
of the cabinet wit h two ( 2) ty pe " B"
screws and tighten. Take care not to
pinch plastic t ubing or let it c ome in
contact with the compressor or its
associat ed t ubing.
Select t he proper w ater suppl y line.
For the 22 and 24 cubic foot models,
the cor rect wat er supply line is show n
in draw ing. For t he 20 cubic toot
model, the opposite water supply line
should be used as shown in draw ing,
Install t he hose nut , rubber washer ,
s u p p l y l i n e , a n d w a t e r s u p p l y l i n e
clamp ont o t he water valve. D o not
tight en t he hose nut at this t im e.
Rotate water line.
Slide nut and sleeve on t o t he w ater
s u p p l y l i n e . I n s e r t t h e e n d o f t h e
t u b i n g i n t o t h e c o m p r e s s i o n u n i o n a s
far as it will go. D o not t ighten, this
w ill be done lat er.
