12. Attach hand valve to access valve.
Char ge in 4 oz. of ref riger ant for leak
check. Close hand valve. W ait ap-
proximately 5 m inutes for pr ess ur e to
e q u a l i z e , ( L e a k c h e c k l o w s i d e ) .
13. R un compressor f or 3 m inutes to
sweep syst em. (Leak check hi gh
s i d e ) .
14. C lose bot tom valve on charging c yl in-
der , slowly release ref rigerant con-
t a i n e d i n c h a r g i n g h o s e b y l o o s e n i n g
hose coupler at char ging cylinder. Af-
t er ref riger ant is released, disconnec t
h o s e a t c h a r g i n g c y l i n d e r v a l v e .
CAUTION: keep refrigerant away from
fingers to' prevent physical damage.
1 5, Connect pur ge hose t o loose end of
c h a r g i n g h o s e , s l o w l y o p e n h a n d
valve and run compr essor f or addi-
t i o n a l 5 m i n u t e s w h i l e d i s c h a r g i n g 4
oz. sweep char ge.
1 6. R emove hand valve. I nst all valve c or e
bef ore t urning compressor off .
17. Turn compressor of f.
1 8 . R e p l a c e c h a r g i n g h o s e o n l o w e r v a l v e
o f c h a r g i n g c y l i n d e r , p u r g e h o s e w i t h
r efr igerant and close hand valve.
