Import SigmaStudio

The first step after creating the basic structure of the Application Layer project is to import a SigmaStudio project to
the Application Layer GUI. This might be needed as well, if any updates on the SigmaStudio project are done. As
shown in the previous section, after updating the project details, there are some checks to determine if any user
action should be taken.
Update the project information (see previous section) and click Import SigmaStudio Project:
The possible list of messages, and action to take:
Error checking files . Please verify that *.params is on IC1 folder : the file with the parameters definition

can't be found, a SigmaStudio project was imported but the file was missing. Generate the *.params files
as shown in the first section, and reimport.
Parameters file is older than program.data file. Please regenerate params file from SigmaStudio : the

params.params file is older than the program.data, which means that the SigmaStudio project was
recompiled after the latest parameters file was generated. This might cause a mismatch between both
files. Regenerate the parameters files from SigmaStudio as shown in the first section, and reimport.

Application Layer Register Structure

A register created in the Application Layer GUI is able to control one or more SigmaStudio cells. Registers have a
unique name and address, and are always 16-bits long. Bits are grouped into inputs. An input is a field in the
register, which calls the Application Layer when is written to. Register name, and input names, are given by the user
when creating the register map.
