T1 Setup
After completing steps 1 through 13 above, proceed with the following to set up
the Emerald ICE system on the Deluxe Telephone for operation with the T1 card.
1. On the keypad of your Deluxe Telephone Set, select 07-05 and
then press the softkey beneath save to display the T1
display. Press the softkey beneath show to display all of the set‐
tings.
2. Press the softkey beneath next 2 times to display the FRAME TYPE dis
play
This designates a Frame Type (System). Toggle the softkey beneath
.
chg to make a selection. The options are D4 and ESF. The default is D4.
The Frame Type is usually determined by your TELCO. Press the softkey
beneath next to continue.
3. At the ENCODE display continously press the softkey beneath chg to des‐
ignate a Zero Code Suppression Scheme (System). The options are AMI
and B8ZS . The default is AMI. The Zero Code Suppression Scheme is
determined by your TELCO. Press the softkey beneath next to continue.
4. At the LOOP BACK display continously press the softkey beneath chg
to designate a System Loop Back Setting (System). The options are
NONE, LOCAL and REMOTE . The default is NONE . It is recommended
that you select NONE for this field. Press the softkey beneath next to con‐
tinue.
5. At the WINKTX display continuously press the softkey beneath chg to
designate a TX Duration. The TX Duration range is from 50ms to 500ms.
The increment is 50ms and the default is 200ms. Press the softkey beneath
next to continue. Press the softkey beneath next to continue.
6. At the WINKRX display, continously press the softkey beneath chg to
designate an RX Duration. The RX Duration range is from 50ms to 500ms.
The increment is 50ms and the default is 500ms. Press the softkey beneath
next to continue.
7. At the CALLER
beneath chg to designate a Caller ID Start digit. A Start Digit can be
DTMF 0-9 , * , # , A , B , C , D . The default is * . Press the softkey beneath next
to continue.
8. At the CALLER ID END display, continously press the softkey beneath
chg to designate a Caller ID End digit. The End Digit can be DTMF
0-9 , * , # , A , B , C , D . The default is * . Press the softkey beneath next to con‐
tinue.
9. At the MAX LENGTH display, continously press the softkey beneath chg
to designate a maximum length. The Length can be 0-15 digits. The
default is 10 . Press the
ID
START display, continously press the softkey

button when finished.
