bre whose "MIDI Channel" (Combination P2: 2–1b) matches
the global MIDI channel. The combination will not be
switched.
The program changes for each timbre will be affected by the
setting of the "Enable Program Change" parameter (Combi-
nation P3: 3–1a).
Enable After Touch
On (checked): MIDI after touch messages will be transmit-
ted and received.
Off (unchecked): MIDI after touch messages will neither be
transmitted nor received.
When recording sounds that do not require the use of after
touch, you can uncheck this parameter to save memory.
This setting has no effect when you use the internal
sequencer to playback sequence data that was recorded with
after touch data; i.e., after touch will be transmitted via MIDI.
The TRITON Extreme's keyboard transmits only channel
after touch; it does not transmit polyphonic after touch. How-
ever, since the TRITON Extreme does support polyphonic
after touch as an Alternate Modulation Source (AMS), it can
receive polyphonic after touch to control individual notes.
Enable Control Change
On (checked): Control change messages will be transmitted
and received.
Off (unchecked): Control change messages will neither be
transmitted nor received.
This setting has no effect when you use the internal
sequencer to playback sequence data that was recorded with
control change data; i.e., the control changes previosly
recorded into the sequencer will be transmitted via MIDI.
Enable Exclusive
On (checked): System exclusive data will be transmitted and
received.
Check this box if you want to record system exclusive
data into the TRITON Extreme's internal sequencer, or
if you want to connect your computer (or other device)
to the TRITON Extreme and edit one connected device
from the other.
Off (unchecked): System exclusive data will neither be trans-
mitted nor received. This setting is not applied when
sequence data that includes system exclusive data is played
back on the internal sequencer (the data will be transmitted
via MIDI).
However, system exclusive data will be transmitted
and received while the page menu commands ("Dump
Program"–"Dump All") of this page are displayed.

Data dump transmission procedure
1 Connect the TRITON Extreme to the device that will
receive the data dump.
If you're using a computer that is able to receive MIDI
exclusive messages, connect the computer's USB connec-
tor to the TRITON Extreme's USB B connector. Alterna-
tively, connect the MIDI IN connector of your computer's
MIDI interface to the TRITON Extreme's MIDI OUT con-
nector (☞p.288).
Some USB-MIDI interface devices may not be able to
transmit or receive the TRITON Extreme's MIDI exclu-
sive messages.
If you are using a MIDI data filer, connect the TRITON
Extreme's MIDI OUT connector to the MIDI IN connec-
tor of the MIDI data filer. (☞p.288)
2 Select Global P1: MIDI.
3 From the page menu commands, select the type of data
that you wish to dump.
The following illustration shows the dialog box that will
appear when "Dump Program" is selected.
If you wish to dump all programs, select "All." To dump
one bank select "Bank," or to dump one program select
"Single."
4 In "To," specify the output connector from which the data
will be transmitted.
MIDI OUT: MIDI OUT connector
USB: USB connector
If a USB-equipped MIDI device is not connected, the
USB parameter will not be displayed; the output desti-
nation will always be MIDI OUT.
5 Press the OK button to transmit the data.
While the data is being transmitted, the display will indi-
cate "Now Transmitting MIDI Data."
The size of the data and the time required for transmis-
sion will depend on the type of data.
