Starting an OpenVMS Installation

After you boot the operating system CD-ROM, an installation menu is displayed on the
screen. Choose item 1 (Install or upgrade OpenVMS Alpha). Refer to the OpenVMS
installation document for information on creating the system disk.

Explanation
1.
Boot the OpenVMS operating system CD-ROM. Enter date and time at the prompt.
2. Choose option 1 (Upgrade, install, or reconfigure OpenVMS Alpha). To create the
system disk, see the OpenVMS installation document.
