Jams in the Feeder (Roll Paper)

Paper jams in the roll paper feeder are caused by incorrect paper loading methods and
defects in the paper feeding mechanism. Reload the paper in the feeder in accordance
with the following procedure.

Chapter 12 Clearing Paper Jams

Open the media tray.

Rewind the paper onto the roll on which the jam
has occurred by rotating it towards you. Cut the
leading edge of the paper into a straight line
with the cutter or a pair of scissors if it is folded
or damaged in any other way.
Avoid damaging the paper.
Cut the leading edge of the paper and reload it in
place if it is damaged. Refer to "Chapter 7
Leading Edge Cutting Methods" for instructions
on how to do this.

Rotate the paper roll until the leading edge is
gripped in the roller.
