Metering Tones

FXS modules can generate 12/16 KHz metering pulses towards the Tel side (e.g., for
connection to a payphone or private meter). Tariff pulse rate is determined according to an
internal table. This capability enables users to define different tariffs according to the
Source / Destination numbers and the Time-of-Day. The tariff rate includes the time interval
between the generated pulses and the number of pulses generated on answer.
To configure the Metering Tones, take these 6 steps:

[0] = Disabled (default).
Enable
[1] = Enable digital MWI using Caller ID Interface.
If enabled, the gateway generates an MWI FSK message that is displayed on the
MWI display.
This parameter is applicable only to FXS modules.
Duration (in msec) of the played stutter dial tone that indicates waiting
message(s).
The default is 2000 (2 seconds). The range is 1000 to 60000.
The Stutter tone is played (instead of a regular Dial tone) when a MWI is received.
The tone is composed of a 'Confirmation tone' that is played for
'StutterToneDuration' followed by a 'Stutter tone'. Both tones are defined in the
CPT file.
Note: This parameter is applicable only to FXS modules.
