Table 5-7: Advanced Parameters, General Parameters (continues on pages 80 to 84)

Parameter
IP Security
[SecureCallsFromIP]
Filter Calls to IP
[FilterCalls2IP]
Enable Digit Delivery to Tel
[EnableDigitDelivery]
H.323 User's Manual
Description
No [0] = Gateway accepts all H.323 calls (default).
Yes [1] = Gateway accepts H.323 calls only from IP addresses defined in the
Tel to IP routing table. The gateway rejects all calls from unknown IP
addresses.
For detailed information on the Tel to IP Routing table, refer to Section
on page 98.
Recommended: When Gatekeeper is used, set this parameter to No; leaving
the Gatekeeper to determine whether to accept or reject H.323 calls.
Don't Filter
[0] = Disable the Filter Calls To IP service (default).
Filter
[1] = Enable the Filter Calls To IP service.
If the Filter Calls To IP feature is enabled, then when a Gatekeeper is used,
the gateway first checks the Tel IP routing table before making a call through
the Gatekeeper. If the number is not allowed (number isn't listed or a Call
Restriction routing rule, IP=0.0.0.0, is applied), the call is released.
Disable
[0] = Disabled (default).
Enable
[1] = Enable Digit Delivery feature for Mediant 1000/FXO & FXS.
The digit delivery feature enables sending of DTMF digits to the gateway's B-
channel / port after the line is offhooked (FXS), seized (FXO) or connected
(Digital). For IP-to-Tel calls, after the line is offhooked / seized / connected, the
Mediant 1000 plays the DTMF digits (of the called number) towards the phone
line.
Analog notes:
Note 1: The called number can also include the characters 'p' (1.5 seconds
pause) and 'd' (detection of dial tone). If the character 'd' is used, it must be the
first 'digit' in the called number. The character 'p' can be used several times.
For example, the called number can be as follows: d1005, dpp699, p9p300.
To add the 'd' and 'p' digits, use the usual number manipulation rules.
Note 2: To use this feature with FXO modules, configure the gateway to work
in one stage dialing mode.
Note 3: If the parameter 'EnableDigitDelivery' is enabled, it is possible to
configure the gateway to wait for dial tone per destination phone number
(before or during dialing of destination phone number), therefore the parameter
'IsWaitForDialTone' (that is configurable for the entire gateway) is ignored.
Note 4: The FXS module sends Connect messages only after it finishes
playing the DTMF digits to the phone line.
Digital Notes:
For incoming IP-to-Tel calls, if the called number includes the characters 'w' or
'p', the gateway places a call with the first part of the called number, and plays
DTMF digits after receiving a CONNECT message. If the character 'p' (pause)
is used, the gateway waits for 1.5 seconds before playing the next DTMF digit.
If the character 'w' is used, the gateway waits for detection of dial tone before it
starts playing DTMF digits. The character 'w' can appear once in the called
number, and must precede any 'p' character. The 'p' character can appear
several times.
For example: if the number '1007766p100' is defined as the called number, the
gateway places a call with 1007766 as the destination number, then, after the
call is answered, it waits for 1.5 seconds and plays the rest of the number
(100) as DTMF digits.
Other examples: 1664wpp102, 66644ppp503, 7774w100pp200.
