Alarm or Condition

The
indicator is not on; the
UPS does not start.
μ
The
indicator is flashing;
power is not available at the
UPS output.
The UPS operates normally, but
some or all of the protected
equipment is not on.
The UPS does not provide the
expected backup time.

Possible Cause
The power cord is not
connected correctly.
The wall outlet is faulty.
The remote emergency
power-off (REPO) switch is
active.
The REPO connector is
missing.
The UPS is in Standby mode.
The equipment is not
connected to the UPS
correctly.
The output receptacle circuit
breaker (if applicable) is
open.
One of the load segments has
been turned off through the
power management
software.
The battery needs charging
or service.
The Extended Battery Module
(EBM) battery circuit
breakers are in the
OFF position.

Action
Check the power cord connections.
Have a qualified electrician test and repair the
outlet.
Reset the REPO switch and restart the UPS.
Verify that the REPO connector is installed on the
rear panel.

Press and hold the On
button until you hear the UPS
beep (approximately one second) to supply power to
the connected equipment.
Verify that the equipment is plugged into the UPS
receptacles.
Check the load. Disconnect faulty load equipment.
Wait several minutes before resetting the UPS
circuit breaker.
Reactivate the segment with the software.
Plug the UPS into a power outlet for 24 hours to
charge the battery.
If the
indicator is on, see "Replacing Batteries"
on page 50.
Switch all the battery circuit breakers to the
ON position.
