If you are installing power management software, connect your
computer to the UPS communication port using the supplied
communication cable.
For rack-mount installations only. If your rack has conductors for
grounding or bonding of ungrounded metal parts, connect the
ground cable (not included) to the ground bonding screw.
Plug the equipment to be protected into the appropriate UPS output
receptacles (see page 45 for more information on load segments).
If you installed optional EBMs, remove the breaker tie from all
battery circuit breakers.
Switch all battery circuit breakers to the ON (
For PW5125 3000e and 3000g RM models only. Plug the detachable UPS
power cord into the input connector on the UPS rear panel.
To the other end of the cord, install a 16A plug that meets your local
electrical code requirements for the AC power source.
If an emergency power-off (disconnect) switch is required by local
codes, see the following section, "Remote Emergency Power-off
Installation," to install the REPO switch before powering on the
UPS.
All front panel indicators flash briefly and then only the
flashes, indicating the UPS is in Standby mode with the equipment
offline. If the alarm beeps or a UPS alarm indicator stays on, see
Table 9 on page 60.
