D Display backlighting (LIGHT)
The transceiver has a display backlighting with a 5 second
timer for night time operation. The display backlighting can be
turned ON continuously or turned OFF.
• OFF
: The backlight is turned OFF.
• On
: The backlight is continuously ON.
• Auto1
: Lights when an operation is performed, then goes out
after 5 seconds.
• Auto2
: Lights when an operation is performed, then goes out
after 5 seconds with a battery pack or battery case,
or stays ON when using the external power supply
(more than 10 V DC).
D Beep output level (BEEPLV)
Turns the key-touch beep ON or OFF.
Sets the beep sound level to between 1 and 9.
D Auto repeater (AUTORP)
The auto repeater function automatically turns the duplex op-
(default: Auto1)
eration and tone encoder ON or OFF. The offset and repeater
tone settings are not changed by the auto repeater function.
Reset these frequencies, if necessary.

How to set aicom t70a to repeater
To set the Icom IC-T70A to repeater mode:
1. Set the receive frequency (repeater output frequency).
2. Set the shift direction of the transmit frequency (-DUP or +DUP).
3. Push [PTT] briefly, then push and hold [PTT] again for 1 to 2 seconds to transmit a 1750 Hz tone burst signal (if required).
4. If "OFF" appears, check the frequency offset or shift direction.
