Ingredients
200g (8oz) mushrooms,
finely chopped
100g (4oz) onion, finely
chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
25g (1oz) butter
125g (5oz) fresh wholemeal
breadcrumbs
150g (5oz) fresh
wholemeal breadcrumbs
150g (5oz) ground mixed
nuts
25g (1oz) sesame seeds
1 egg
Ingredients
50g (2oz) butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 stick celery, chopped
5ml (1tsp) mixed dried herbs
225g (8oz) mixed nuts,
coarsely chopped
400g (14oz) can of
tomatoes
175g (6oz) fresh wholemeal
breadcrumbs
salt and pepper
2ml (¼ tsp) ground chilli
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Veggie Burgers
Dish: large bowl
Oven Accessory: glass turntable + metal tray on high wire rack
1. Place mushrooms, onion, garlic and butter in a bowl on the glass
turntable and cook on HIGH MICROWAVE for 5mins.
2. Add 100g (4oz) breadcrumbs and the nuts to the mushroom and
add enough egg to bind the mixture
3. Divide into four and roll into balls. Dip the balls in the remaining
breadcrumbs mixed with sesame seeds and make into burger
shapes. Place on metal tray and cook on COMBINATION: GRILL
2 +WARM MICROWAVE for 15 mins. or until browned. Turn half
way.
Nut Roast
Dish: bowl, 1lb Pyrex loaf dish lined with greaseproof paper.
Oven Accessory: glass turntable + metal tray
1. Put butter, onion, celery and herbs in bowl. Place on glass
turntable and cook on HIGH MICROWAVE for 3 mins to soften.
2. Add the nuts, tomatoes, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and chilli to the
onion mixture. Stir well and then add the eggs. Mix to an even con-
sistency.
3. Spoon the mixture into the loaf dish and smooth the top. Place on
metal tray and cook on COMBINATION: CONVECTION 180°C +
SIMMER MICROWAVE for 30 mins. Garnish with watercress.
