Firmware Upgrade

A software upgrade tool is used to upgrade the software functions and to fix or improve the
functionality of the switch. The switch provides a TFTP client for software upgrade which is done
through the network connection.

Firmware Upgrade
Function description:
The switch supports software upgrade through a TFTP server. To apply a firmware upgrade, follow this
procedures:
1. Specify the IP address TFTP server.
2. Specify the filename and the full path for the location of the file.
3. Select Upgrade.
4. When the download is complete, the switch begins upgrading the software. You will be prompted to
reboot the switch after completing the upgrade. The switch must be rebooted so the new software
will be applied.
Note: If the download is not successful, the switch will return to "Software Upgrade." Software
upgrade is hazardous if power is off.
Parameter description:
TFTP Server: A TFTP server stores the image file you want to upgrade.
Path and Filename: File path and filename stored the image file you want to upgrade.
