PRE-OPERATION INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

PRE-OPERATION INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
Before riding for break-in operation, practice or a race, make sure the machine is in good operating
condition.
Before using this machine, check the following points.

GENERAL INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

Item
Fuel
Engine oil
Throttle
Brakes
Drive chain
Wheels and tires
Steering
Front forks and rear
shock absorber assembly
Cables (wires)
Muffler
Sprocket
Lubrication
Spark plug
Fittings/fasteners
Lead connectors
Check that a fresh gasoline is filled in the fuel tank. Check the fuel line
for leakage.
Check that the oil level is correct. Check the crankcase for leakage.
Check for proper throttle cable operation.
Check the play of front and rear brake and effect of front and rear
brake.
Check chain slack and alignment. Check that the chain is lubricated
properly.
Check pressure/runout/spoke tightness/bead stopper/axle nuts.
Check that the handlebar can be turned smoothly and have no exces-
sive play.
Check that they operate smoothly and there is no oil leakage.
Check that the throttle cable move smoothly. Check that they are not
caught when the handlebars are turned.
Check that the muffler is tightly mounted and has no cracks.
Check that the driven sprocket tightening nut is not loose.
Check for smooth operation. Lubricate if necessary.
Check color/condition.
Check all – tighten as necessary.
Check that the AC magneto, CDI unit, and ignition coil are connected
tightly.
