Creating a Confidential Mail Box
1 Press the Select Function key.
2 Press the 9/User Program One Touch key. The display will show 1:FUNC. PROGRAMMING.
3 Using the numeric keypad, press 5. The display will show 5:MAIL PASSWORD PRG.
4 Press the Yes < key. The display will show MAIL BOX NO. [ ].
5 Using the numeric keypad, enter the number of the mail box you want to use (0108).
There are 8 mailboxes available on the OKIFAX 1050. Only one mailbox can contain received faxes
at any given time.
Tip:
If the mail box has been previously programmed and a message is currently stored in the mail
box, the fax machine will not allow you to access the mail box. An ILLEGAL OPERATION
message will appear. Print out any messages stored in the mail box before making changes to
the mail box password.
6 Using the numeric keypad, enter the 4-digit password you want to use with your mail box.
7 Press the Yes < key to confirm your entry.
8 To finish, press the Select Function key.
