Installing a Software Upgrade on a System

Installing a Software Downgrade on a System from 4.0 to 3.x

To update system software from 3.x to 4.0:
 Double click the .exe, and follow the instructions on the screen.
System will reboot to 4.0. The reboot can take about 20 minutes. During this time,
the indicator light will blink red. Do not power down the system during the reboot.
To update system software between 4.0 software versions:
1. On a computer, open Internet Explorer version 6.x, 7.x, or 8.x.
2. In the browser address line, enter the system's IP address, for example,
http://10.11.12.13, to go to Polycom QDX 6000 web interface.
3. Go to Admin Settings > General Settings > Software Update, and
follow the instructions on the screen.
To downgrade from 4.0 software to 3.x software, you must put the Polycom
QDX 6000 system in 3.0 rescue mode.
To downgrade from 4.0 software to 3.x software:
1. Telnet to port 24 on Polycom QDX 6000 system, type ubootconfig v3.
2. Power off the Polycom QDX 6000 system.
3. Hold the rescue mode button for 5 seconds after switching on. Polycom
QDX 6000 system will go into the 3.0 rescue mode.
