Cause and Solution
Clear the paper jam. See Paper Jams While the
Machine is Printing on page 7-3.
•
Ensure there is not too much paper in the
Automatic Paper Feeder (APF). Depending
on the thickness of your paper, the APF can
hold up to 100 sheets of paper.
•
Make sure you are using the correct type of
paper.
•
Remove paper from the APF and flex or fan
the paper.
•
Humid conditions may cause some paper to
stick together.
•
Make sure the envelope guide is not in the
upright position.
•
Remove any obstructions inside the
machine.
•
Different types of paper may be stacked in
the Automatic Paper Feeder. Load paper of
only one type, size, and weight.
•
When loading paper, do not force the paper
down into the printer.
•
If multiple sheets have caused a paper jam,
clear the paper jam.
