InsertEditing
You can record a new scene into a previously lecolded
tape, replacing a section of the ouginal recording with
minimal
pict{tle distortion at the in and outpoints,
The
original audio lemains unchanged.
NOTES:
• Before performing
the following sleps, mak_ sure that
"TIME CODE" is set to "ON" in lhe Menu Screen
(_ pg. 41, 43).
• Insert Editing is not possible on a tape recorded in the
LP mod_ or on a blank portion of a lape.
• To perform Insert Fditing while watching in tile
television, make connections (:
fag. 22).
Play back the tape, locate the Edit-Out point and
press PAUSE (11). Confirm the time code at this
point_ _,( pg. 41,43),
Press IIEW (4141) until the Editqn point is located,
then press PAUSE (11).
Press and hold INSERT (0) on the remote control,
then press PAUSE (11). "110" and the Time Code
(mim:sec.) appear and the camcorder enters Inselt-
Pause mode.
Press START/STOP to begin editing.
• Confirm the inselt at the time code you checked
in step 1,
• To pause editing, press START/STOP, hess it
again to resume editing.
To end Insert Editing, press START/STOP, then
STOP (I).
NOTES:
• Progranl AE with special et??'_t_(_: fag. 46, 47) can be
used to spice up the scenes being edil_d during Insert
Editing.
• During Insert Editing, the dat_ and time information
changes.
• If you pertbrm Inserl Editi¢ N onto a blank space on the
tape, the audio and video may be disrupled. Make
sure you only edit recorded areas.
• During Insert Editing, when tile tape moves to scenes
recorded in the LP mode or a blank portion, Insert
Edfing stops (:
pg, 91).
