SHUTTER (Variable Shutter Speed)

The shutter speed is fixed at 1/60th of a
second. Btack bands that usually appear when
shooting a TV screen become

The shutter speed is fixed at 1/100th of a
second. The flickering that occurs when shooting
under a fluorescent light or melcury vapour lamp
is reduced.
SPORTS
(Variable Shutter Speed: 1/250 - 1/4000)
This setting a]lows fast-moving images to be
captuled one frame at a time, for vivid, stable
slow motion playback
The faster the shutter
speed, the darker tile picture becomes.
Use tile
shutter function under good lighting conditions.
___qSNOW
Compensates lol subjects that may otherwise
appear too dark when shooting in extlemely
bright surroundings
such as in the snow.

SPOTLIGHT
Compensates fol subjects that may otherwise
appeal too bright when shooting under extremely
strong direct lighting such as spotlights.
NOTE:
"SPOTLIGHT" has the same efl_cl as
with d_e
exposure control (. _ pg. 52).
TWILIGHT
MONOTONE
Like classic black and white films, your lootage is
shot in B/W. Used together with the Cinema
mode, it enhances tile "classic film" efied.

Gives recorded scenes a strobe effect.
STROBE
Your recording looks like a sedes of consecutive
snapshots.
SLOW (SIow Shutter)
Lights dalk subjects or areas even [)righter than
they wouM be under good natural lighting. Use
"SLOW" only in dalk areas.
"g-1 SLOW 4x
Slow Shutter raises light sensitivity to allow
shooting in dark environments.
"_g-2 SLOW 10X
Slow Shutter raises light sensitivity further to
altow shooting in even darker environments.
NOTES:
• When using "SLOW", the ima[qPtakes on a strobe
like effect.
• tfthe manual fc)cusindicatc)r blinks when _SLOW"
is used, adjust focus manually and use a tripod.

Makes evening scenes look more natural
White Balance (._ pg. 53) is automatically
set to

but can be changed to your desired
setting. When Twiiight is chosen, the camcorder
automatically
adjusts the locus from approx. 10
m (32 if) to infinity. From less than 10 m (32 if),
adjust the focus manually. The flash does not fire
in this mode,
[_ SEPIA
Recorded scenes have a brownish tint like old
photos. Combine this with the Cinema mode for
a classic look.
Adds a "ghost" to the subject, giving your
recording a "lantasy" feeling. Zoom magnifica-
tion of over 10X is not avaitable.
