6. Remove the front processor air baffle:
a. Loosen the two thumbscrews that secure the air baffle to the system tray (1).
b. Lift the air baffle up out of the server (2).

7. If necessary, remove the memory board in slot 2 to gain access to the processor
sockets. For detailed information on removing a memory board, refer to the HP
ProLiant ML500 Series Generation 2 Servers Memory Board Installation Guide,
on the Documentation CD.
