MLX Voice and Modem Data

This type of analog data station includes an MLX telephone in addition to the
DTE and modem (see Figure 5–3). The modem connects to the MLX telephone
through the T/R interface of the Multi-Function Module (MFM), which is installed
in the MLX telephone. The telephone connects to the control unit through an
MLX extension jack. The communication capabilities of the MLX telephone and
data station can be used simultaneously.
