Removing the Hard Drive SCSI Backplane

1.
Power off the server, disconnect all power and external cables, and remove the top metal
cover.
2.
Lift up on the PCI cage release lever and the back edge of the PCI cage and lift the PCI cage
out of the server.
3.
Lift up on the fan power bridge and disconnect the backplane power cable. See

4.
Remove any installed hard drives.
5.
Disconnect the SCSI cables and unscrew the backplane mounting screws. See
