Using Logs
Hardware Log
The Hardware Log displays information on field replaceable units (FRUs) inserted
and removed from the switch.

Each log entry includes the following:
• Date/Time
Date and time of the insertion or removal of the FRU.
• FRU
The name of the inserted or removed FRU.

PWR
SFP
CTP
• Position
Slot position in the chassis relative to identical components installed.
• Action
Inserted or removed.
• Part Number
Part number of the component.
• Serial Number
Serial number of the component.

SFP transceiver.
CTP card. Note that the CTP card is not a FRU. If
it fails, the switch must be replaced.
