If trouble occurs, carry out the applicable checks and action given below.
If the trouble persists, contact your service representative.
Trouble
Nothing lights on the
operation panel when main
switch is turned ON.
No copies come out when
the Start key is pressed.
Copies come out blank.
Copies come out too light.

Checks
Is the power plug connected to an AC
outlet?
Has a message appeared in the message
display?
Are the originals set correctly?
Is the copier in the auto exposure mode?
Is the copier in the manual exposure
mode?
Is add toner message displayed?
Is paper wet?
Action
Connect the plug to an AC outlet.
Read the message, and take action in
accordance with it.
When originals are set on the platen, face
them down and align them with original
size scale. Set originals face up when
setting the original on the optional DF.
Perform "Auto exposure".
Adjust the exposure to the correct degree
using the copy exposure adjustment keys.
To adjust the overall exposure, change the
initial value of the manual exposure in each
original mode.
Replace the toner cartridge.
Replace the paper with new paper.
