CRUISE CONTROL
The cruise control function controls the
engine and braking system to help you
to maintain a driving speed that you
have chosen, known as the cruising
speed. This cruising speed may be set
at any speed above 19 mph (30 km/h).
Controls
1. Change the mode: OFF/speed lim
iter/cruise control.
2. Put the function on standby (and
store the limit speed) (0).
3. Recall the stored cruising speed
(RES).
4. Speed limiter activation and speed
reduction (SET/-).
5. Speed limiter activation and in
crease (SET/+).
6. Depending on the vehicle, road sign
detection activation switch [O].
You can link the cruise con
trol to the "Road sign detec
tion" function 254.
If the "OFF" mode is select
ed before switching off the
engine, the "Speed limiter"
function will be activated by de
fault the next time the vehicle is
started.
This function is an addi
tional driving aid. The
function does not take
the place of the driver.
Therefore, it can under no circum
stances replace the driver's re
sponsibility to respect speed limits
and to be vigilant (the driver must
always be ready to brake).
Cruise control must not be used
in heavy traffic, on winding or slip
pery roads (black ice, aquaplan
ing, gravel) and during bad
weather (fog, rain, side winds
etc.).
There is a risk of accidents.
