ADDITIONAL DRIVING AID FUNCTIONS
Safe distance alert

Using the information from the camera
1 , this function informs the driver of
the time interval between their vehicle
and the vehicle in front so that a safe
stopping distance between the two ve­
hicles can be maintained.
The function is activated when the ve­
hicle speed is between about 19 and
106 mph (30 and 170 km/h), depend­
ing on the vehicle.

This function is an addi­
tional driving aid. This
function is not under any
circumstances intended
to replace the due care and atten­
tion of the driver, who should at all
times be in control of the vehicle.
Location of the camera 1
Make sure the windscreen is not ob­
scured (by dirt, mud, snow, condensa­
tion etc.).
Activation/deactivation
Depending on the vehicle,
according to the length of
time following the last time
the engine was stopped, the func­
tion is reactivated:
– when the vehicle is unlocked;
or
– when a door is opened;
or
– when the engine is restarted.
Vehicles fitted with a multimedia
screen 2
From the "Vehicle" world on your multi­
media screen 2 , press the "Driving
aids" menu.
Activate or deactivate the "Safe dis­
tance" function.
Activating/deactivating the system
from the trip computer 3
