PARKING BRAKE
Handbrake

To apply:
Pull the lever 1 upwards. Check that
the vehicle is immobilised. The warn­
ing light
on the instrument panel
will come on.
To release
Pull the lever 1 upwards slightly, press
the button 2 and lower the lever to the
floor. The warning light
instrument panel will go out.

Pull-up handbrake
(depending on the vehicle)
To apply:
Pull the lever 3 upwards then release
it, it will return to the horizontal posi­
tion.
To release
Press the button 4 while pulling the
lever 3 upwards, then place it in the
horizontal position.

Make sure that the hand­
brake is properly re­
leased when driving (red
indicator light off), other­
wise overheating, or even dam­
age, may occur.
When the vehicle is
stopped, depending on
the gradient and/or the
vehicle load, it may be
necessary to apply the handbrake
by at least two further notches

and engage a gear (1
 or re­
verse).
An impact to the under­
side of the vehicle (e.g.
striking a post, raised
kerb or other street furni­
ture) may result in damage to the
vehicle (e.g. deformation of an
axle).
To avoid any risk of accident,
have your vehicle checked by an
approved dealer.
