To select down switch option 2 during the PCSS configuration, set the initial value for down
switch option selection variable to 2 as described in
option and all required inputs are initialised when the PCSS software is started.
15.9 Down Switch Option 3 - Dual Operator Foot Control
The connections in this option allow dual operator station with foot pedal control on each as
shown in Figure 15-3
closed (NC) contacts from the foot pedal switches on each of the operator stations are
monitored. The NO contacts are monitored using standard inputs, while the NC contacts are
monitored using safety inputs as shown in the diagrams above.
This option provides for dual operator stations with either the 1 Foot - 1 Foot operator mode
on one of the stations selected and modified down switch control function on the other or the
2 Foot - 2 Foot on both stations, therefore only one of these two modes should be selected
or no control of the press brake will be possible. If the mode selected on the CNC press
controller is the 2 Foot - 2 Foot dual operator mode, both operator stations will be allowed to
initiate down movement. If a single station mode is selected with modified down switch
control, then the CNC press controller must also provide information on which station is
selected to initiate down
