expansion port, and the port entry is covered with a blanking plate.
The PCSS-A2 also has an additional dedicated application and communications processor
providing improved speed and efficiency with Ethernet, CAN Open and optional EtherCAT
communications options. An SD Card slot is available on the PCSS-A2, which simplifies the
software download process without the need for a PC and programming cables.
The motherboard provides the plug-in connections required for the input / output and the
optional guard and counter components. The PCSS-A models are available with a range of
input / output and guard / counter configurations to meet the requirements of different types
of press brakes, with LED indicators displaying the status for each input and output.
The motherboard also contains the alphanumeric display with CPU channel selector and
ISaGRAF user application stop / run switch. The optional guard and counter component
can also be included, allowing the PCSS to interface to the guarding system and to be
connected to the position optical encoders installed on the press brake. The design allows
all cables to be connected from the top and bottom, enhancing both visibility and ease of
installation.
