Safety instructions
Setting-up Electrodes
Set the electrodes to the control system of the System Electrohand,
or 13E205 MyoRotronic, as applicable. Set-up is easy with 757M11
MyoBoy. For detailed information see Operational Manual of the
System Electrohand, or respectively, 13E205 MyoRotronic.
The electrode contacts should be placed flat on intact skin, touch-
ing it with as much of their surface space as possible. Should any
strong interference be observed due to the electric devices, then the
electrode position should be checked and changed, if necessary.
If the interference cannot be eliminated, please contact Ottobock
Myo-Service.
Attention!
Be sure to include breaks during the adjustment of
the electrodes, otherwise muscle fatigue may cause
irregular results, which could lead the prosthetist to
set the electrodes too sensitive a setting.
Safety management
If the defective function of electronically controlled lock of ErgoArms
Electronic plus 12K50 occurs, the user is advised by warning sig-
nal lasting about 1 second. The electronically controlled lock will
subsequently be disconnected. In such a case remove the battery
for a while and then replace it again. Should the electronic lock be
disabled again by the Safety Management, than the ErgoArm Elec-
tronic plus 12K50 must be sent for repair to Ottobock Myo-Service.
By the way the locking and unlocking can be operated manually at
any time via control cable even when the lock is disabled.
Switching mode selection
The ErgoArm Electronic plus 12K50 is provided with several switch-
ing modes for electronic lock control. They include various options
for electrode signal switching between the hand and the elbow. The
required switching mode is selected by inserting a colored coding
plug into the electronics housing.
For those patients incapable of generating suitable myoelectric
signals, the control system can be set up by Ottobock Myo-Service.
