EMULATOR PROCESSOR MODULES
INSTALLATION
General
The Emulator Processor modules can be installed in any card slot connector in the Program
side of the µProcessor Lab motherboard. Emulator Processors are usually installed in slots
J17 through J20 (see Fig. 10-1). The card connector is offset to ensure that the module
cannot be plugged in backwards. Because of power supply limits, no more than two
Emulator Processor modules should be installed in the 60 Hz instruments at one time and
only one Emulator Processor should be installed in a 50 Hz (special order) instrument.
Before installing or removing a module, turn the POWER to the µProcessor Lab
OFF.
After the module has been correctly positioned, press down firmly on the two plastic lifters
(at the board edge) until the 100 pin edge connector (P 1) snaps into place and makes a
good electrical connection to the motherboard connector.
