11.5.1 Monitoring

11.5.1.1 Device failure monitoring
All devices whose failure is monitored are summarised here in a list.
The CP305 can generate messages when a device on the BMS bus fails. To do this, the device must be included
in the list of devices to be monitored.
Tools > Monitoring > Device Failure Monitoring
You can add new entries using the "Add entry" button in the footer.
• Add existing device
A device already known to the system is to be added to the list. Navigate through the path indicator to the
device to be monitored.
• Add new device
A device previously unknown to the system is to be added to the list. This requires that you enter the BMS
address of the device to be monitored.
Import actual state
All active devices on the BMS bus are displayed as a list.
11.5.1.2 Alarm addresses
Alarm groups tab
The alarm groups are created here first. Alarm addresses can then be assigned to them.
Alarm addresses tab
Alarms are defined here and configured as they are to be displayed. Each measuring channel can be selected
as an alarm address and individually configured, such as the colour of the alarm pop-up, the help texts, the
sounds, and so on. Each alarm can also be assigned to a previously created alarm group.
Each alarm address can display any combination of
• Collective alarm
• Device failure
• Measured value
