4.10.4.1

Backing up data with SINAMICS Startdrive

To permanently save settings for SINAMICS Integrated, you have the following options in
SINAMICS Startdrive:
• Saving settings in the project
• Saving settings (offline/online) retentively on the memory card
Saving settings in the project
For your backup, you can permanently save the settings you made in your Startdrive project.
Saving settings retentively
The settings made during parameter assignment of SINAMICS Integrated are saved in volatile
memory. This means they are lost when the SIMATIC Drive Controller is switched off.
To save an online or offline configuration retentively, you must save the settings on the
memory card.

4.10.4.2

Backing up data with STEP 7 Professional (TIA Portal)

With the STEP 7 Professional function "Backup from online device", you perform a complete
backup of the current device state of the CPU.
This backup also includes the contents of the SIMATIC Memory Card and, thus, in the case of
a SIMATIC Drive Controller, also the SINAMICS Integrated configuration.
If SINAMICS NVRAM data is to be included in the backup, you must back up this data on the
SIMATIC Memory Card beforehand with p7775 = 1.
The backup is stored in the project tree in folder "Name of the CPU > Online backups". The
backup is assigned the name of the CPU with the time and date of the backup.
If you have backed up the data at an earlier time, you can transfer the backup back to the
device in an emergency.
