Functions of the lights
Position light
When the light switch is in the position , the
two headlamps with the position light, parts of
the rear light cluster, the number plate
illumination and the buttons on the centre
console and the buttons on the instrument
panel are switched on.
Automatic driving light control
The automatic driving light control is merely an
aid, so it cannot sufficiently re-cognise all driving
situations.
With the automatic driving light control in
operation, the low beam headlamps and
headlamps are switched on automatically when
the twilight sensor detects that the environment
outside the vehicle is dimly lit, e.g. when driving
through a tunnel during the day or after dark.
When the vehicle is driving in bright sunlight,
with the light switch in the position , the low beam
and headlamps are automatically switched on by
the power unit. And the daytime running light
will be switched on.
Cornering light
The cornering light comes on automatically
during slow turns or tight bends. The
cornering light is integrated into the fog lamp
and is only switched on at low speeds of
approx. 40 km/h.
When reverse gear is engaged, the turn signal
can be switched on on both sides of the vehicle
during the manoeuvre.
Audible alerts for lights not turned off
If the vehicle key is removed from the ignition
lock and the driver's door is opened, audible
alerts will sound in the following conditions:
– light switch to the position or .
With the "Coming Home" function activated,

alert sounds to indicate that the light is still on.
